We have developed a suite of apps tailored for IATSE 891 members in British Columbia (BC) to help them assess and manage environmental risks on the job. Our Wild Fire App assists workers in evaluating wildfire smoke exposure and determining appropriate control measures, drawing from guidelines by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. The Heat Stress App and Cold Stress App help users assess risks related to extreme temperatures, using methods compliant with WorkSafeBC regulations, while offering guidance on mitigation strategies. These tools are designed to enhance worker safety and assist production companies in meeting compliance standards, providing accessible, practical resources for assessing risks in real time.
